Dieses Wochenende haben mich meine Großtante und mein Großonkel in Hannover besucht.
Natürlich unter anderem, weil die beiden neugierig waren auf meinen Ausbildungsbetrieb: Fleischerei Scheller. Durch diesen habe ich ihnen gleich am Nachmittag nach ihrer Ankunft in Empelde eine kurze Führung gegeben.
Ganz besonders gut hat meinem Besuch der Altstadt Flohmarkt, sowie die Herrenhäuser Gärten gefallen. Vom Flohmarkt haben sie mir sogar eine total schöne Kette mitgebracht.
Nach all dem Laufen, darf gutes Essen auch nicht fehlen. Auf Empfehlung des Kochs auf meiner Arbeit waren wir im Reimanns Eck. Das Restaurant hat durch eine Kombination aus traditioneller Küche mit modernen Einflüssen überzeugt, ich würde jederzeit wieder hingehen.
Heute Stand dann noch eine Stadtführung auf dem Plan. Der rote Faden durch Hannover eignet sich dafür besonders gut. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Rote Line die auf der Straße aufgezeichnet ist und einen Rundweg mit verschiedenen Stationen durch die ganze Innenstadt bildet. In einem kleinen Buch kann man dann die Geschichte zu den einzelnen Punkten nachlesen.
Solche Führungen fände ich in allen Städten schön, denn man kann selbst entscheiden wie lange man sich wo aufhält oder ob man die Informationen zu allen Punkten lesen möchte oder nicht.
Ich sollte echt öfters Besuch haben, am Wochenende habe ich mehr von der Stadt gesehen als im ganzen letzten Jahr – aber alleine ist halt durch die Gegend laufen echt langweilig.
Weekend visit from home
My great aunt and uncle have visited me this weekend in Hannover. Not only to see the company: butcher shop Scheller, at which I am serving my apprenticeship, but so see the city as well. The first thing I did after they arrived in Empelde was showing them the butcher shop.
They liked the most the flea market in the old town and the Herrenhäuser gardens.
At the flea market they bought me a wonderful chain.
But after all the walking around the city good food is needed to.
The chef from the company I am working at told me to go to Reimanns Eck. I have loved it there, they are serving a combination of traditional and modern German food.
Today we have been doing a special guided tour through the city. In the city is painted a red line on the floor and if you are following this line you are passing all the interesting tourist sites. For the different stations you have a little book, to read the history.
I would love to have such tours in more cities, ´cause you can decide on your own if you want to hear the story about the building or not.
I should have visitors more often – this last weekend I saw much more of the city than the past year – but walking around alone is unfortunately totally boring.
