Im letzten Beitrag habe ich ja bereits erwähnt, dass ich mir auch für den Fleischer-Beruf ein offener gestaltetes Berichtsheft wünschen würde, wie es auch bei den Köchen zu finden ist.
Das Berichtsheft ist so gestaltet, dass man jede Woche einen Bericht über ein Thema seiner Wahl ausformulieren muss, anstatt stur festgelegte Fragen zu beantworten.
Klar, müssen alle Themen einmal behandelt werden und das Berichtsheft ist dafür ein Nachweis, allerdings sind auch alle relevanten Themen einmal in der Berufsschule durchgesprochen worden. In diesem Sinne wäre es durchaus sinnvoll, das Berichtsheft offener zu gestalten und den Auszubildenden frei zu lassen, wann und in welcher Form sie über ein Thema schreiben. Hinzu kommt, dass jeder Ausbildungsbetrieb anders ist und manche Arbeiten dem Auszubilden erst später lernt, als sie im Berichtsheft stehen.
Soweit ich es verstanden habe handelt es sich aber bei dem Ausbildungsnachweis, über den Nachweis der eigenen Ausbildung – aber ich weiß ja nicht, ob die Antworten aus dem Lehrbuch oder Internet abzuschreiben etwas mit lernen zu tun hat.
Ich persönlich war immer der festen Überzeugung vor meiner Ausbildung, dass es gar nicht so schwer sein kann ein Berichtsheft zu führen – tja da habe ich mich wohl getäuscht.
Die täglichen Aufgaben notieren, ist nicht das was ich am Berichtsheft schreiben als nervig empfinde, das sind jeden Tag ein paar Minuten nach der Arbeit. Die gestellten Fragen beantworten ist durchaus nervig, vor allem wenn man das gefragte noch nie gemacht hat und dann auch nicht das richtige Buch zur Hand hat.
Müsste man hingegen jede Woche einen Wochenbericht schreiben, macht man sich am Ende der Woche noch einmal Gedanken über den Verlauf der Woche und das gelernte, was viel effektiver ist und dafür sorgt, dass sich das neu erlernte verfestigt.
Und ob man jetzt per Hand schreiben muss sei mal dahin gestellt, mittlerweile geht so viel digital – ich bin mir sicher, dass das auch funktionieren würde.
Es besteht natürlich die Gefahr, dass einige Antworten oder Tagesaufgaben einfach kopiert und eingefügt werden, aber mit Wochenberichten wäre diese Gefahr auch gebannt.
Durch mein duales Studium, muss ich mein Berichtsheft immer nur dann führen, wenn ich gerade im Betrieb bin – ein digitales Berichtsheft hätte da schon einige Vorteile:
- Aufgaben/ Notizen können schnell vom Handy/ Laptop aus eingetragen werden
- die Berichte sind sicher gespeichert
- das Berichtsheft kann nicht Zuhause vergessen werden
- mein Chef könnte sich das Berichtsheft jederzeit anschauen, auch wenn ich gerade nicht im Betrieb bin
- …
Gegen das Berichtsheft schreiben habe ich generell nichts, dennoch könnte am Stil langsam schon mal etwas geändert werden – kann ja nicht sein, dass mein Berichtsheft genauso aufgebaut ist, wie das von meinem Vater. An den Ausbildungsinhalten hat sich zwar nicht viel verändert, aber eine Veränderung des Berichtshefts könnte dennoch nicht schaden.
Der Metzgerberuf und die Ausbildung soll ja auch attraktiver werden – nicht zuletzt kann da auch ein Berichtsheft – in welcher Form auch immer – das mehr up to date ist dazu beitragen.
Suggestions to the report portfolio
The current report portfolio for butchers should be like the one for apprentices to be a chef, which I mentioned in my last post already. Their report portfolio leaves the writer more choice, about the theme to write, it just has to be a report about the week.
Sure, every theme has to be dealt with once, but that’s what we do at butchers school. So why do I have to write a report about it, especially if there are questions to answer in my report portfolio to jobs I have never done. Every company is different, so they might teach their apprentices various jobs in a different order than required to answer the questions of the report portfolio.
I thought always a report portfolio has to be written to adhere your knowledge about the job and what you learned in the butcher shop you serve your apprenticeship in – but to write the answers off a book or the internet is not learning, you do it just because you have to do it.
To write a report portfolio is easy and fast done, that was my opinion before my apprenticeship – well I guess, that was wrong.
Writing down the daily jobs is not a problem at all, it takes only a few minutes every day, whereas to answer the questions is very annoying – especially if you never did the job before and you don’t have the right book available.
If you have to write a report about your week, you think about what you did in the past days, which helps you to integrate the learning process.
If the report has to be written by hand remains to be seen, but so many things are digital by now – I am sure that’s possible too.
With weekly reports the risk of copy and paste is at a minimum as well, because it is impossible to copy from whole reports without being noticed.
I have to write my report portfolio only when I am working – so it would have many advantages if it’s digital, e.g.:
- I could take notes on my smartphone/ Laptops
- the reports are saved properly
- I can’t forget it at home
- my boss could have a look at it whenever he wants to, even if I am not at the butcher shop
- …
I am not against writing a report portfolio, but the style of it should be changed – even my dad’s portfolio looks like mine. Well, nothing changed about the tasks I am learning in comparison to my dad – but a change of the portfolio wouldn’t harm.
The apprenticeship to become butcher should become more attractive – a report portfolio which is up to date could help as well.
