Die Praxis ist das das eine, aber ohne Theorie geht’s auch nicht. Ohne Zerlegen kann man keine Wurst herstellen und Verkaufen. Doch bevor man verkaufen kann, muss man den Preis kalkulieren.
Wenn man irgendwann dann feststellt, dass man statt Gewinn, Verlust erwirtschaftet hat kann man sich das Zerlegen, Wurst herstellen und Verkaufen auch sparen.
Da wird mal wieder deutlich, dass Praxis nicht ohne Theorie geht.
Deswegen habe ich an der Hochschule jetzt im 4. Semester „Kosten- und Leistungsrechnen“. Die reinen Aufgaben durchzurechnen, ganz ohne Praxisbezug macht aber eher wenig Spaß. Das ganze anhand eines fiktiven Unternehmens umzusetzen wäre viel interessanter. Ist zwar immer noch Theorie, aber zumindest teilweise in die Praxis umgesetzt. Dann weiß man wenigsten, wofür man das ganze rechnet.
Auch bei den Vorlesungen „Marketing“ und „Marktforschung“ könnte man das anwenden der Theorie an dem gleichen fiktiven Unternehmen üben.
Praxisbeispiele kann zumindest ich mir immer viel besser merken als die reinen Theoretischen Konzepte und Abläufe. Die hat man auch nach der Prüfungsphase schnell wieder vergessen.
Man kommt zwar schnell wieder rein, wenn man sich die Aufgaben wieder anschaut, aber zu hundert Prozent im Kopf bleibts nie.
Calculation is necessary!
Practical work is one thing, but it doesn’t work without theoretical calculation. You can’t produce sausage and sell it without boning before. But you have to do a price calculation as well, before selling it.
It makes no sense if you recognize at some point, that you generate loss instead of profit.
This shows you have to combine practical work with theory.
Therefore, I have `cost and result accounting´ at university this semester. It isn’t fun to make the calculations without practical orientation. It would be more interesting to learn the calculations by using a fictional company. Still theory, but the students see the practical relevance, at least.
During the lectures `marketing´ and `market research´ the knowledge could be applied in exercise at this fictional company as well.
I can remember practical exercises better than only theoretical concepts and processes. Those you forget shortly after the exams.
Looking at the exercises they get again in your mind, but never a hundred percent.
