Vorlesung muss nicht immer reiner Vortrag von den Dozenten sein, sondern kann auch interaktiver gestaltet sein. Zum Beispiel mit einer Übung, bei der man das gelernte Wissen anwenden muss.
Was haben aber jetzt Steckbausteine mit Qualitätsmanagement zu tun? Die Steckbausteine waren zu einem Muster-Produkt zusammengesteckt. Von dem Produkt sollten dann 30 Stück in fünf Minuten gefertigt werden, unter Einhaltung der Spezifikation. Kann doch gar nicht so schwer sein – falsch gedacht!
Die Bausteine richtig zusammenstecken, sodass die Abstände identisch sind und die geforderte Anzahl in der Zeit produziert wird geht nur mit entsprechender Organisation und Planung.
Wir haben als Gruppe ein „Unternehmen“ gebildet und uns mit den Herausforderungen beschäftigt und die auftretenden Probleme gelöst.
Wichtig war es dabei die Prozesse so zu gestalten, dass 100% Qualität geliefert wird. Das heißt alle Produkte sind richtig zusammengesteckt. Ziel war es, dass wir lernen wie wichtig interne Qualitätskontrollen sind, um 100% Qualität zu liefern. Außerdem sollten wir erkennen, dass es wichtig ist erst einen qualitätsfähigen Prozess zu haben bevor man die volle Menge liefert. Denn nur so können die Kosten für „Ausschuss-Produkte“, gering gehalten werden.
Bei solchen Übungen lernt man wesentlich mehr, als wenn man stiller Zuhörer in der Vorlesung ist. Man muss sich mit dem Thema beschäftigen und seine eigenen Ideen einbringen.
„Lebensmittelmanagement“ – der Name meines Studiengangs sagt schon, dass es nicht nur um die Herstellung der Produkte geht, sondern auch eine Management-Komponente beinhaltet ist. Diese ist auch extrem wichtig, denn ohne richtiges Management funktioniert nichts.
Quality management exercise
Lectures don´t have to be only presentations of the professor, they can be more interactive as well. For example, by having an exercise in which you have to use your Know-How.
What do building blocks have to do with quality management? Those building blocks were assembled to a sample product. We had to produce in five minutes 30 pieces of this product according to the specification. That´s an easy task – wrong, it isn´t!
To have identical products and the number of products in the time limit is only possible due to having a plan, who is doing what.
We built a `company´ and had to solve the upcoming problems.
It was important to have a process which makes it possible to deliver 100% quality. Means all products had to be assembled right. The objective was for us to learn the importance of intern quality controls, to make it possible to deliver 100% quality. Furthermore, we should recognize that it is necessary to have a process which has quality capability before delivering the full amount. Only like this it is possible to reduce the costs for `rejected-products´.
You learn a lot more in such exercises than only by listening to the professor. You have to think about the theme and bring in your own ideas.
`Foodstuff management´ – is the name of my studies. It implements already that it consists not only of production of food but of management too. Management is extremely important, because without the right management nothing works like it should.
