Lucky pig in a stalactite cave

My father is collecting pigs, I think lots of you know this already. He has already so many, which makes it hard to find some he hasn’t got. That’s why I am creative with presents for him and create them myself.

On this picture you can see my Christmas present for him, a pig in a stalactite cave with lots of colourful stalactites.

At first, I painted the pig with umbrella on the canvas. The next step was to apply the crayons on the canvas and melting them with a hairdryer. To protect the pig, I made a barrier out of paperboard around the umbrella.

It wasn’t easy at all to find crayons, which are melting by heating them, because some started to burn.

Finally, it worked out very well and the picture is hung up on the wall already.
